The Artist Priya Dave and her collaborative partner Flor Delgadillo have exhibited "Collective Consciousness" that exposes racial injustices in Western medicine, specifically brain and neuroscience research and practice. This underexposed subject is critical to the health and well-being of many people. Both Delgadillo and Dave have done extensive research on this subject and bring their lived experience to this crucial topic.

The art exhibition COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS communicates the ways that Neuroscience and Health care accesses are interconnected with social injustices. The exhibition, despite its serious subject matter, will be a vibrant and lively collaborative installation.  The interactive installation was produced using sculpture, video, digital fabrication, and medical equipment, such as EEG machines and other neurofeedback devices. We hope to have people of all ages and ethnicities take part in interacting with space. We hope to attract people that will engage with the work and have a positive and educational experience.   

During this critical period of Covid-19, an unprecedented number of people of color have suffered from mental health issues. The artists aim to De-stigmatized these issues around our community. Flor Delgadillo and Priya Dave are committed to speaking out about this dire concern that impacts a disproportionate number of people of color in our community.
